March-
In the middle of March we finally sold our home in AZ after 9 months on the market! Russ has been commuting back and forth since Rylan was 2 months old so this was a much needed break!! The catch---they wanted to close on the house and have us out within TWO weeks...... so thus began the scramble to pack an entire household, find a home in Austin, and do all the mumble jumble for getting the house ready for the buyers (i.e. home inspection- the inspector the buyer hired was ridiculosly fastidious- for lack of a better word! He caught a million little things, many of which existed before we purchased the house....needless to say we had a ton of repair men traipsing through our home for two weeks straight--and yes sometimes accompanied by the buyer!!! The offer came in the weekend before easter....so by that time we had one weekend to go to Austin to find a place to live! Russ headed out Easter weekend to to find a place we could move in to in one week.-*at Russells request he will be posting the ordeal with the movers so stay tunned!
Rylan and I spent Easter weekend alone-- upto our ears in boxes and scrambling to get things packed. Despite our less than ideal Easter Festivities I did get a wonderful Easter treat--an Easter Egg hunt of my own!! I discovered that on our front door wreath a bird had built a nest and left four beautiful eggs! What a good reminder and symbol of what Easter is all about.
In the middle of the caos we did get to spend some time and say our goodbyes to friends and family. Russells family had a going away party for us....here a few picks of our good times!!
April-
We had to be out of our house by April first. *Again, Russell has requested to document the "details" of what transpired in April.....I think it will be theraputic for him and help him heal from the damages incurred.
But, aside from the "details" Rylan and I had the opportunity to spend some time with my folks in Colorado. Rylan thoroughly enjoyed being spoiled by grandma, grandpa, and aunt Maura....not to mention tearing apart Grandma's not so baby-friendly house!!
May-
On the 9th we closed on our house!
On the 10th Rylan turned one year old!!! This was so hard for me....right before my eyes, my little baby became my little toddler....bitter sweet. We also moved into our house and were finally reunited with our belonging!!
We were so tied up with moving that we forgot to get a cake to celebrate the big day for our little guy, but luckily our realator remembered and came through with a beautifu b-day cake saving the day...here are some pics and video of the blessed occasion....(notice the boxes up to the ceiling!)
On May 13th I turned the big 26! I tell you because I will take every year I get....(while chaperoning a church dance I got asked to dance....I guess I look young.....it was a deacon....I guess I look real young.)

Anyway, Russ...Fasi enjoyed your comment on our "Sun's Game" post. He seriously thinks the opposite of what you said, but was pretty flattered that you think so..LOL! Can't wait to see and hear more about Texas. Oh...one more thing, Monica...I got called to fill your "Laurel Advisor" calling! Yea! The girls have yet to warm up to me but I'm enjoying it right now. Feel free to give me any insight and/or advice:)
