The pregnancy went relativly well and I would be ungreatful if I complained.  At 37 weeks it was deternined that I was 5 cm dialated and 75% effaced and my doctor was worried that I could go into labor at any point and have a really fast labor at that. My mom flew in the next day a week went by and still (thank goodness) I had not gone into labor....Then at my 38 weeks ultrasound revealed that the baby was growth restricted so I was scheduled for induction the next day. (Rylan was also growth restricted wich means they growth rate slows down significantly enough to the point where they feel the baby would thrive better out of the womb.)

I checked into the hospital at 9:30, got hooked up to the I.V. and thing progressed rather quickly....Russ had not had anything to eat so at 1:35 the nurse told Russ he had five minutes to grab a bite to eat....shortly after he left I felt the urge to push....the nurse told me try to call Russ to tell him to get back to the room-she was worried he would miss the birth, she called the doctor and then five minutes later...the doctor came in and 1:45 got things set up and ready to go, Russ barely made it in time for the birth..... I pushed 8 minutes and then the baby was here!!  We had a great nurse and doctor and all went well!! 

Ren (who went nameless for nearly three days) is such a sweet  good baby. Healthy and happy! We feel very blessed and grateful for answered prayers!

Memeorial Day Weekend

We had a lovely weekend, we got to go the San Antonio Marriott with some friends and enjoy the water park.....Then the next day a friend of ours had us over to their cattle ranch for a bbq.  Rylan got a kick out of the cattle, goats, and horses. Russ got a close up look at the lovely castration and branding process....not his thing.  He was not meant to be a cowboy. The Texas country side was beautiful as you can tell from all the wildflowers along side the road!!

Arizona Trip

We had a wonderful trip to Arizona for our niece Amber's wedding.  We got to spend time with cousins which Rylan loved!! We also had the chance to meet up with our dear friends!!  It was so great to see everyone!

Happy 3rd Birthday Rylan!!!

Our baby turned three!!! He has been so excited for this day....(he tore out a picture of a cake months ago and has been carrying it around helping me plan his party....)  All week long he would say "I am so excited!"
Pizza, cupcakes, ice cream, great friends (who spoiled him) & perfect weather!!  Thanks to all our friends for your support!

Easter Best

I love Easter and Spring for all that it reminds me of- The Resurrection, Life, Rebirth, Eternal Families etc....These flowers are in front of our neighborhood and survived the cold harsh winter- days of hard frosts & the unusual snow fall....I have been watching them as I drive past daily and was so surprised to see that they not only lived but bloomed so beautifully despite the long winter...I just had to take the opportunity for a Easter best photo shoot with Rylan and his friend in their Sunday best.....

The Easter Bunny found us!
